Try out some different style yaks and see what you like best. Already have a yak? Bring it along and show it off! Even better, have MORE THAN ONE YAK?! Bring both so you can enjoy paddling around while somebody can try out your second!
PS. If you don't feel comfortable having someone take yours for a spin, that's all good! Being able to check it out and see the different styles is also helpful
